About This Event

The Madeira International Fireworks Competition includes three pyromusical shows, which take place on the first three Saturdays of June and can be enjoyed throughout the entire bay of Funchal for 20 minutes. For this edition, pyrotechnic companies from three countries are competing: Canada, China and Ukraine. The objective is to achieve the “Atlantic Trophy”, awarded by a jury, as well as the “Madeira Tão Tua Trophy”, awarded by the public. This vote can be done through tombolas placed in the Plaza Madeira shopping center, at the Tourist Information Office on Avenida Arriaga and, also, on the Funchal pier, on the night of the show.
