About This Event

Organized by the Regional Directorate of Culture, the Raízes do Atlântico Festival was one of the first World Music festivals to take place in Europe, being, in fact, the oldest in Portugal, in this type of music. The Raízes do Atlântico 2026 Festival returns to Parque de Santa Catarina for three days dedicated to celebrating Atlantic music and cultures. Between traditional sounds, contemporary fusions and multicultural encounters, the festival brings together national and international artists in a unique environment, with a privileged view over the bay of Funchal. A celebration of identity, diversity and cultural connections that unite the people of the Atlantic. Because humanity occasionally manages to transform differences into something truly beautiful.
