Madeira Remote is operated by Madeira Friends Enterprise, Lda. (Calçada do Pico 42, 9000-206 Funchal, Madeira, Portugal). We are the data controller for any personal information you provide when booking a stay or signing up to our community.

2. What we collect

• Name, email, phone, country and check-in dates when you make a booking.
• Payment data is processed by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.
• Anonymous analytics about how you use the site (only after consent).

3. How we use it

To confirm and manage your booking, send check-in instructions, comply with local accommodation reporting laws, and (only with explicit opt-in) keep you informed about community events.

4. Your rights (GDPR)

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw any consent at any time by emailing [email protected].

5. Data retention

Booking records are kept for the period required by Portuguese tax and tourism authorities. Marketing data is deleted on request or after 24 months of inactivity.

6. Cookies

We only set non-essential cookies (analytics, ads) after you accept them through the cookie banner. Essential cookies are required for the booking flow to function.
